John Gardner Dies After Illness in Holmes County
John Gardner aged 85 died Saturday at his daughter Mrs Gonter’s home after a three month illness. Survived by three daughters and four sons, 35 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and a brother Gothel of Berlin. Funeral Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Millersburg. Burial in Millersburg cemetery. Gardner born and raised in Holmes County, recently resided in Dalton with his daughter.

A community event calls for a Saturday drive to catch rabbits around town then release them in the township. Open to all with dogs allowed and guns discouraged. Meet at the Town Hall at nine in the morning for instructions from Game Wardens in charge.
Milk Producers Meeting in Summit County Officers Elected
The annual meeting of Summit county milk producers elected J. I. Shafer as president Paul Richards as secretary and D. W. Buchwalter to the Wayne county sales committee. They shipped 110 601 312 pounds of milk earning 2 164 141 98 dollars. A resolution punished producers using butter substitutes with loss of the milk market. Attendees included Dr. Buchwalter C G Springer and A J Amstutz.
