Dalton VFW Family Night Celebrates 16th Post Anniversary
About 125 Post and Auxiliary members and families attended the Dalton VFW family night on Sunday January 28 to mark the 16th anniversary of the post. 7 charter members and 7 post commanders were present as District Commander Frank Lawrence lauded 75 percent local membership and 100 percent post membership, with a trophy to be awarded at the Canton district meeting March 3 and 4. A local quartet and slides show highlighted post activities and Memorial Day plans.

Cub Scout Pack 22 Holds January Meeting
Cub Scout Pack number 22 of Dalton held its monthly pack meeting Saturday evening January 27 at the Methodist Church in the social rooms. Cubmaster Eugene Edwards opened the meeting and Asst. Cubmaster Ted Hobart gave the opening prayer. Den 2 with Mrs. Den Schumakr conducted opening ceremonies. Group singing led by Austin Ober. An 8 o’clock future meeting time was decided during the business session. A film titled Our Trip to England was presented by Ir Collier of Sippo District Massillon with narration and crafts from England. Refreshments were served by Den 3 with Mrs. Ted Hobert and Mrs. McGraner.
