Organize Community Guild Formed In Dalton High School
The Dalton Community Guild organized Thursday evening Jan. 25 in the high school auditorium with officers: Chairman Charles Hazel Co-chairman William Adams Secretary Mrs Carroll Scott Treasurer C M Jennings. An executive committee from various local groups selected the officers. Social events planned with membership cards required. Subscriptions and local notices noted, along with church and school activities and several local moves and community items. Groundhog Day mentioned. Ambulatory purchases for army aid noted. Charter Night for Salton Troop No 22 Held in Methodist Church
Eight Scouts attended a charter night in the Methodist church basement. Ira Berg opened with prayer and the Scout-oath. Stewart Riley presented registration cards to Scoutmaster Carl Edward Brown and assistant Donald Lautzenheiser and to Ira Berg, chairman of the Scout committee. Delmar Jones, Field Commissioner for the Massillon area, was introduced. Riley conducted the dedication and renewal of the Charter, which was passed to Brown. The Troop received a 100 percent pennant for subscriptions to Boy's Life.
