Parent-Teachers Meeting in Sugar Creek township

The second PTA meeting will be held at the H S Auditorium on Thursday evening Dec 18. Adults interested in the town and township schools are invited. The program includes group singing devotionals reports, a discussion on education through the eye, visual education in today’s schools, a one reel educational film, and remarks by Co Supt Gibbons.

Christmas Program At Pleasant Valley School

Pleasant Valley School house hosts a Christmas program Monday evening December 22 at 8 oclock with 10 cent admission. Ethel M Douglas Sugar Grove District No 1 teacher will present a program Tuesday December 23 at 8 oclock with no admission charged. The Kidron school presents Santa Claus and Co an operetta Tuesday night December 23 1930 with admission 10 and 16 cents.

M E Missionary Meeting Held At Mumaw Home

The M E Women's Missionary Society met Wednesday afternoon at Mrs. W. A. Mumaw's home with Mrs. Mumaw in charge. Mrs. Johnson led business, Mrs. Elliot led devotionals, and a playlet Grandma's Mite-Box featured several members. The session closed with mite box opening and a covered dish luncheon.

Christmas Party for YW Class at Presbyterian Church

Thirty members of the YW class and eight guests gathered Thursday at Mrs. Ira Tullis home for a Christmas party. The program included prayers, readings, a short play, and a surprise fashion sketch. Santa handed out state capitol themed gifts, games yielded prizes, and a luncheon with rolls and chicken salad followed.

Dalton teams split on Fredericksburg court in county league

In Friday action at Fredericksburg, the Dalton girls edged the Fredericksburg squad 17 to 20 for a close home win as defenses dominated the second half. The Dalton boys prevailed 17 to 12 in a tight, low scoring battle with a halftime Dalton lead eroding in the second half.

Class Party Thirty-three attended the Sunshine class Christmas party held Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Douglas. Miss Blanche Palmer led devotionals and Mrs. Earl Locke supervised the business session. Mrs. Wayne Douglas gave a comic reading, E. E. Stuck read the class prophecy, and Mrs. Carl Lawence delivered class jokes. A covered dish supper was served a la cafeteria.
