County Treasurer Franks Slashes Throat in Near Wooster
Elton Franks, Wayne County treasurer since September, attempted suicide early Monday by slashing his throat near Moreland. Found by two neighbors in the snow, he was taken to a hospital with favorable recovery prospects. His office books were reported to be in order.

Miss Mildred Kruschenske, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Kruschenske, was formally initiated into Sigma Theta Tau on Saturday December 2.
