Succumbs to Heart Attack: Daniel Schwartz Dies at 74
Daniel Schwartz 74 of Dalton dies suddenly Saturday at home after a heart attack. He leaves seven daughters including Mrs. Clyde Longworth of Dalton and Mrs. Warren Starn of Massillon, two sons Marvin of Massillon and Harry of Dalton, and many grandchildren. Funeral held Tuesday at Dalton Presbyterian Church with interment in Dalton Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons.

Teen Amputates Right Hand in Home Power Cutter Accident
Frank Flueckiger aged 17, son of Theophil Flueckiger, lost his right hand just above the wrist at a Massillon hospital after a power cutter clogged while he cut alfalfa at the family home near here. He tried to clear the jam with the knife in his right hand when the blade slipped and mangled the hand, necessitating amputation.
