Democrats from Dalton and Sugar Creek Township gathered Tuesday evening for a party caucus at town hall but overflow attendance moved to the school auditorium with Dr. Chiles presiding. Nominations included Geo A Berg for mayor and a slate of councilmen clerks treasurers marshals and trustees across Dalton Village and Sugar Creek Township.

August 7 1933 Sonnenberg reports a Thursday afternoon rainfall of about one inch. It helped corn on lower ground but not on higher ground where yields may fail. oat crop benefited from the 2 inch rain five weeks ago. July precipitation was 2.18 inches at Lehman’s, amid extreme heat threatening corn and potato crops.
