Surprise birthday dinner honors Mrs. Clara Tracy

A surprise birthday supper was hosted at Ralph Tracy's home on April 26 for Mrs. Clara Tracy with many relatives and friends from Orrville Stanwood Justus Massillon Long Beach Calif Canton Richville and Apple Creek attending. Farm class tours Wooster plants and GE exhibit

Dalton F F A students from the Farm Engineering class visited Harris Paint Company and a General Electric exhibit at Freedlanders in Wooster. They observed paint making processes including grinding machines newly imported from Germany and saw GE appliances such as an electrical dishwasher and a garbage disposal unit.

Dalton Rod and Gun Club Opens Skeet Trap Field Near Snyder Garage

The Dalton Rod and Gun Club reports completion of its skeet and trap field behind the Snyder Service garage and plans to be operational this week. Members are urged to help in the field each evening at 6 o clock and a rifle match may follow with Orrville. Team try outs are set for Tuesday May 5 at 5 30 pm at the Hasseman farm rifle range north of Dalton. Bring gun and ammo.

Irvin Geitgey announces his run for County Treasurer as a Democratic candidate. He has served as Township Treasurer for two terms and six years as Wayne County Farm Bureau Treasurer. A Grange member with East Union and Pomona ties, he is secretary-treasurer of the Farm Bureau Co-Operative and a lifelong Wayne County resident.

The Dalton Community club held its regular banquet Friday at 6 30 in the church dining rooms with 30 attendees. Ira Adams presided after dinner and State Highway Patrolman Mr Brooks gave an engaging talk about his work. D H Scott was named to the finance committee.
