Wayne County High School Arts Night and Baseball Results
Wayne County Farm Bureau displayed agriculture pictures and R M Elliot gave a talk on Monday. Dalton won two last week as they beat Smithville 11 to 12 and Chester 12 to 8. Three more games are planned this week including Doylestown on Tuesday and matches with the Community School teachers and Brewster at Dalton. The Senior class play Adam and Eva on Friday April 11 drew a full house with strong performances by Willard Nussbaum Eva King Ruth Ober James King Nelson Douglas Mabel Kurzen and others. Miss Lucile Lawrence coached the production and the cast presented her with flowers between acts. An audience from Canton and Carrollton high schools attended. The Home Economics class organized an assembly featuring a Shopping in the 40s and a playlet A Bachelor’s Dilemma. The Agriculture week program highlighted Ohio history and industry with songs and readings from the Slistoric and Scenic Ohio theme.

Miner Injured in Scaffold Fall at Dalton Coal Tipple
Levi Zaugg 65 suffered a six foot fall from a scaffold at the Dalton Coal Co. tipple south of town. The scaffolding collapsed onto a piece of scantling, injuring him. He was hospitalized Monday for X rays and found to have no broken bones but severe bruising.
