County Convention Chooses Wilmarth Amidrowtrow Tensions
The Beadle County convention completed its work near 6 pm Tuesday with Wilmarth named to the ticket replacing Fairbank. Delegation splits arose from a failed agreement led by Sam Birks and longer influence by Mr. Kelley. The roll left Webb short of votes. Geddes objected to Hatfield’s candidacy, a clash escalated after adjournment. The resolution slate supports Roosevelt Lincoln and the Sioux Falls platform, endorses Robert J. Gamble for Senate, and praises Doe S. Crawford for Governor with full party backing.

Presbyterians to Dedicate New Pipe Organ Next Tuesday
The Presbyterian church will dedicate a newly installed W. W. Kimball pipe organ with tubular pneumatic action and seven speaking stops. The instrument, eleven feet high and eight feet four inches wide, features a Grand Crescendo pedal. Prof. A. M. Shuey will perform at the September 25 event, with local vocalist Mrs. Dr. Ringsdorf and tickets at fifty cents.
