Huron Light and Power Plant Contract Awarded

The Huron Light and Power Co. has organized with 60000 capital and awarded the gas plant contract to Practical Construction Co. of Chicago. R W Stewart presides Coler Campbell is secretary J M D Campbell treasurer. The plant near the Great Northern track on Montana street will use high pressure water gas and contain seven and a half miles of mains. Construction starts next week with operation aimed by August 15 and ready by September 1.

End of Honduran lottery prosecutions seen in fines

Indications arise that federal cases against John M. Rogers Jesse K. Baylis and Lester R. Baylis will conclude by fines via plea. Indicted by Mobile Alabama grand jury for sending lottery tickets statewide from Rogers printing plant Wilmington. They plan to plead guilty June 4 and pay fines from the company treasury.

Attorney General Bonaparte told the president and Secretary Root that District Attorney Devlin’s San Francisco report on the alleged assault on Japanese residents shows initial stories were exaggerated.
