A grateful father recounts his one year old son having three large neck lumps that a physician lanced twice. After starting Hood's Sarsaparilla and completing four bottles, the neck swelling disappeared and the child recovered.
Philadelphia observers watched the big American line steamer St Paul refuse to budge from the ways at 1 15 p m delaying her baptism. Investigations found greased tallow on the ways caked like flint and resisting movement despite jacks hoses and tug assistance. The launch was postponed with plans to rebuild the ways in a few days as dignitaries from across the country attended the expected ceremony.
The St Louis uses a screw gear steering setup with Williamson’s engine while the St Paul adopts Brown’s gear. James H. Matthews of Larmore has arrested L. G. Ketchum of McCanna on embezzlement charges. Matthews alleges Ketchum stole $500 while acting as his agent at a Great Northern wheat elevator point.

Postal Inspector Fosness arrested Eddie Robie aged 12 and Rusco Bankson aged 11 on burglary charges. They pleaded guilty to breaking into two post office boxes and taking about 50 pennies left to pay postage due. Both were bound over to the federal grand jury in $500 bail secured by their parents.
