In Savannah harbor fraud ruling the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed four-year imprisonments for Gagnon and associates. Sentences total about 577000 dollars in fines and fees for defrauding the government.
The Traders News Stand has reserved tickets for a firemen show on Tuesday night and Wednesday matinee. Proceeds benefit amateur performers with a special matinee for children. Acts include vaudeville and moving pictures featuring fire departments from across the country.

Jesse Day is jailed awaiting a hearing in Magistrate Gordon's court on stealing three rugs valued at $100 from Thompson Music Company. He was arrested by Policeman James Sims with rugs under his arm and attempting to sell them. He claimed to have bought the rugs from Dopey Tom Wells, now in jail for carrying a razor. The rugs were missing several days ago and warrants were issued to locate them.
Prof. M. D. Teter and his wife celebrate the birth of a daughter at their Oral home last night. The child weighs nine and a half pounds and both mother and baby are reported doing well. Mr. Teter notes the newcomer will inspire his teaching career and bring joy to the county.

Ten people were injured today at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company plant when an elevator cable rope broke and the car dropped two stories. The most seriously hurt is M. F. Stafford who may die.
Charles Davis Stepie twelve was accidentally shot by his brother Dana Davis fourteen while hunting near the city. Dana fired a rate and pointer double turret shotgun at his juncture Charis stood in front of the gun and received several shot wounds to the heart stomach and stomach area. The extent of injuries is undetermined and may prove fatal though hopes remain for recovery. Dana Davis is prostrated by the accident.
London June 2 Premier Campbell Dangerman announced in the House of Commons that the government will drop the Uriah bill following the Irish Nationalists convention in Dublin rejecting the measure.
Mrs. Robert Laughlin, wife of a farmer from Nellie in Coshacton county, killed herself by pouring kerosene and setting herself on fire at the McMillan sanitarium. She died in great agony shortly after.
