William Fox, about forty, shot himself at his home near Salem after declaring nine days to live. He lingered a day despite medical aid. his act followed eccentric behavior and a lifelong wish to be a poet and newspaper writer. Child Born On Train Found Frozen Beside Track

A newborn child, unaccompanied and frozen, was found along the Norfolk and Western line between Onk vulo and Witte by J. A. Snyder on a passing freight train.
