A Dec Saturday banquet at the Kof-P hall hosted by Dr John Folk honored his brother Oda Fellows and friends. Guests enjoyed hospitality and the host presided with festive refreshments. Dr C B Peck bought property on Carlisle court in Clarkaburg and moves today. A surprise party for Peck at Mrs Bushabah Radabaughs home featured a china trust dish and a gold pen token. Attorney A Judson Find Slarkaburg called on the town Sunday.

Memorial Mountain State lodge No 117 of the I P B O F W held its annual memorial service at Pride s A M E chapel Sunday afternoon. The event drew many members and friends. The Rev Simon Peter West gave an eloquent address. The choir performed several selections assisted by Miss Butler of Parkersburg who sang a beautiful solo. Members extended thanks to all participants.
