Wreck at Erie Injures No One As Tank Car Upsets
A Short Line passenger train from Clarksburg to New Martinsville wrecked at Erie Friday evening. Tank trucks jumped rails causing the train to derail and run about a hundred yards before stopping. The tank overturned on its side and several hours delay followed. some passengers returned to the city and one man escaped injury after leaping from a car window.

Young Shinnston man loses fortune after night out
Robert H. Garvin, a young man from Shinnston, traveled to Fairmont with about $100. After visiting several saloons and a vacant Hull alley building with Flo Campbell, he was rescued by Policeman Larsh. Garvin was jailed for safekeeping and found to have only $2.70 remaining.

Ten Boys Escape From Pranty Town Reform School
Ten of the boys escaped the Boys' Reform School at Pranty town during the week and many remain at large. Several have been recaptured with two returned from Piedmont on Friday evening. Additional runaways were spotted in Keyser as efforts to apprehend them continue. In total eighteen youths fled the premises across the week, including three colored boys who vanished Thursday night.

Engine and two coaches wreck on Fairmont line
A special Fairmont Coal Company train consisting of an engine and two coaches derailed at Hammond on Saturday forenoon.
