Big Farm Show Planned For Hagerstown Fair
Final preparations for the greatest exhibition of horticultural and agricultural products in Hagerstown have been completed by ILBE under Mr. Bester. Officials from the University of Maryland extension service have conferred on staging, promising a display surpassing any in the state. Bester plans to feature flowers and palms as a backdrop to vegetables and fruit, aiming to restore the fair to its original standard with judges Professors Shaw and Oldenberg from Maryland.

FWO MEN FINED FOR VOLSTEAD ACT VIOLATION
Lynn Liestra and Lloyd Williams were fined $1 each after being convicted of violating the Volstead act in the Federal Court at Baltimore. Judge Morris A. Soper handed down the sentence yesterday. The men were arrested in the western part of Washington county when found sleeping near a ail.

Dry agents raid more county stills in two days
Dry agents visited the Mt. Briar area for a second time in two days raiding three moonshine camps. They found two stills with 700 gallons of mash and two warm stills of 150 and 15 gallons capacity. The larger still is believed to have operated Thursday night.
