Charles Trail Jr. 19, of Hancock area, died at Washington County Hospital from a .38 caliber bullet wound believed accidental while shooting at home Saturday afternoon. He was moving the gun when a finger pulled the trigger. the bullet struck his right hip and lodged near the knee. State officials ruled accidental death. no inquest. He is brother of Rance Trail.

Shotgun Incident Leaves Charles Trail Dead
Skims Channel contents of two shotgun shells while hunting on the first of the month. He too was taken to the hospital but returned to his part a few days ago, apparently none the worse. Trail said he was shot at deliberately. The body of Charles Trail was removed to the undertaking parlors of C. M. Suter and Sons. Funeral announcements will be made later.

Pleasant Hill Fire Destroys 17 Buildings in York County
A storm sparked a blaze in Pleasant Hill near the Mason and Dixon Line destroying 17 buildings on four properties and causing about 60000 dollars in losses. The Sterner homestead, Gereon Robert garage, and service station were burned. several homes were left homeless as firefighters drew water from Garret's Dam to battle the flames.

Two Suits Filed Result Of Crash
Two suits, each seeking 10000 dollars, were filed in court on Saturday by Hyelya Ralston and Betty Ritter against Charles M. Schwarer after an April 6 crash on the Frederick Washington highway near Hyattstown and Jarks ary. The plaintiffs allege they were invited passengers and that Schwarer’s negligence caused a collision injuring them with permanent injuries and numerous cuts and abrasions to the head and face.

Girl and fiancé detained amid Pennsylvania wedding plot

Lon Cook Held For Hearing On Whisky Possession Charge
Lon Cook, recently moved from Maryland to Paw Paw West Virginia, was arrested last Friday by State Police and prohibition agents after a raid on his home. Authorities say they found a half gallon jar of liquor. Cook was taken to Berkeley Springs jail for a hearing.
