Police in Northern Ireland discover a seven year old boy living among chickens, unable to bathe eat human food or speak. He was found in a hen house at Down Patrick near Belfast, brought to Belfast for medical examination. Motorist Fails Lie Detector in Hit and Run Case
A Hagerstown motorist, Joseph O. Bilner, 20, Linden Avenue, entered a not guilty plea to failing to stop after an accident and submitted to a lie detector test. The test, conducted by Detective Grayson Wigfield, indicated Bilner struck Barbara Sline’s car on ML Aetna Road on August 26 and left the scene. Magistrate Mant Oltinger fined Bilner 50 dollars plus court costs and imposed a 60 day jail term suspended upon payment of 51.20 for damages to the Stine car. Bilner had agreed to the test, which the detective reported supported the charge. The Stine car had been damaged when another vehicle sped away the night of August 26. paint scrapes matched. Stine identified Bilner’s auto but could not certainly identify the driver. This case was among many motor vehicle violations before the magistrate on the holiday.
