Freed When Taxes Paid By Cambridge Fireman
Patrick Quinn, 67, a Cambridge stationary fireman, was jailed yesterday for refusing to pay a 63 cent income tax. He was released today after an identifiable person paid the tax to the state tax collector. Had he stayed jailed it would have cost the state 50 cents daily for his keep. A state law bans bail for tax warrants. About 35 cents of the bill was interest.
