Robbery spree puzzles police in local area
A band of robbers looted two safes and a shoe store early Sunday and attempted to raid Jacob Middlekauf's Main avenue warehouse. A broken door jock and a Coca Cels plant cafe theft of about 300 dollars hint at professional criminals active from about 3 to dawn, with the Texas Oil Company Garlinger avenue safe blown apart and 25 dollars missing. Police believe the crimes were committed by skilled burglars.
