North Carolina Strikes Grow to 2800 Workers
The number of striking industrial workers in North Carolina rose to about 2800. At Stehli Silk mill in High Point 260 night shift workers joined a wage cut protest that triggered a 48 hour strike weeks earlier. They linked with 1400 in Thomasville furniture plants and a cotton mill, and about 1200 idle in Rockingham due to a cotton mill strike.

Grove appeals after twentieth arrest for drunkenness
