Benedict Automobile Tragedy Near Central Valley
A 1,500 pound automobile overturned on a slippery road two miles north of Central Valley while traveling from Tuxedo Park to West Point. Mr. Benedict, son of banker B.C. Benedict, was crushed beneath the car and died. Granville Kane and others sought aid but he could not be saved. Kane is linked to New York Yacht Club circles. Benedict had two marriages and wealthy connections.
