Prison Escape Attempt Wounds Black Inmate At Maryland House
Irvin Vincent, a Negro inmate serving a year for larceny at the Maryland House of Correction, was in serious condition after attempting to escape. Deputy Warden William F. Steiner said Vincent was shot when he frightened a 12 foot wire fence and tried to run.
