Nick Altrock, famed as baseball’s buffoon, rates Washington a strong chance in the Pittsburgh series. He cites defense and the club’s will to win as key factors, noting Washington’s infield as among the best and predicting a tight, hard fought seven games with smart pitching and timely hitting from veterans. He also mentions Rube Johnson era observations and praises Altrock’s value to developing young pitchers.
