Mrs Walter Ford recently celebrated her birthday at home with friends after a period of illness. A supper was served and Mrs F C Young sang several vocal selections. The Goh Club of Surrey High met yesterday morning with Stewart Snyder presiding. Charles Street and Hedgin ld Batley spoke on protection for firemen and on a topic about where the slave treads flourishes. Lew Smith recounted a win over Winchester and Harold Trum Power discussed recent county fire fatalities.
A butcher ing party was held Thursday evening at the home of Charles Barnhart in Lappana. A pleasant dinner was served. Attending were Am and Mrs Frank Barnhart, Mr and Mrs George Kline, Mr and Mrs Alvey Hart, Mrs F C Cooper, Mrs Norman Shervin, Mrs Charles Palmer, Mrs William Golden, Mrs Charles Gackford, Miss Frances Barnhart, Zona Bulk, Edna Wart, Ewelyn Wart, Bully Coayer, Ashton Bloom, Bynton Buhman, Jacob Hutgsil, Benjamin Lowe, Howard Cumming and two friends.
The O Figa club met Thursday evening at 6 46 o clock. It forms part of the Mohican Club network and lists Edwin Hurd Robert Littleton Henry Miller as president Roger Middlehouse secretary and Charles Lewis George White as members aged from 12 to 18. There are three age groups under 12 12 to 14 and 15 to 18. Most M F C A clubs are elective clubs.

A fall wedding took place at St. Pauls Church at eleven o clock. Miss Sydia G. Sherley daughter of John Sherley married John Hversoll of Altoona Pennsylvania with Rev Vernon Ridgely officiating. Guests included immediate family and a few friends. Afterward the couple gathered at the Vivien Hotel for a reception hosted by Mr and Mrs C D Sherley. The bride wore a velvet gown with peau de soie trim and carried flowers. her niece Nisa Jette Obler served as ring bearer. The newlyweds plan to reside at 903 Second Avenue Altoona after a wedding trip to New York.
The Woman's Christian Temperance Union of Keedynville met at Mrs Chester Wysnd home on Tuesday evening. The program included talks on Thanksgiving and Sabbath observances with excerpts from papers titled Baby Thankful National Thanks Giving and How About the Sabbath. Readers included Mrs Roscos Hammond and Miss Alice Buxton.

A busy season is planned for the Community Players with three appearances scheduled over the next weeks. They will travel to Lappans on November 14, perform in Keadgeville later in the month, and visit Clear Spring in December. Details for the plays and exact dates are to be decided.
