St Mark s Episcopal of Hagerstown will perform at Smithsburg Saturday in St John s Auditorium. Directed by Miss Edna Munson the play titled By the Way Hall Smithsburg will be staged under Luther League auspices of the Lutheran Church. A note on cooking advises a splash of vinegar for tender fish.

Announcement of the marriage between Duke Wright of the Hagerstown Y M C A and Ruth Koontz of York Pennsylvania. The ceremony will be held Monday morning in York with Rev. Paul Koontz officiating. The couple will reside at Wayside Avenue upon returning to the city.
Miss Mildred Mills of Sharpsburg was weekend guest of Miss Hilda Kaylor. Charles Wisherd and family drove to Washington to spend the day with Prather Perry and wife. Mrs. Florence Gosnell and Laura visited C. E. Fabr ney and wife at San Mar. Rev. Victor Long preached at Mt. Zion and Rev. Holsapple conducted Chapel services at San Mar in the afternoon. Protracted meetings near Greencastle with Rev. Baetzel. Next Sunday at 2:30 Rev. G. C. Carpenter will preach at Hagerstown. Warren Charles and family of Hagerstown were entertained by A. J. Ford and wife. Edna Hoover of Sharpsburg weekend guest of Naomi Shoop. Earl Reeder and family from Hagerstown visited Elmer Reeder and family Sunday. Anna Stouffer of Sharpsburg pike visited George Cline Sunday.
