Memorial Day to Be Observed at National Cemetery

Preparations for Decoration Day crowds at Sharpsburg for a Memorial Day program with at least three thousand visitors. Congressman F N Zihlman and the House Chaplain will be principal speakers. Taleigh Sherman of Sharpsburg will be officer of the day. A parade of veterans American Legion and patriotic groups will precede 1:30 pm services. observance earlier in Hagerstown and Anstubam.

City Post Office and Public Buildings Closed Tomorrow

The Postoffice and other public buildings will close with no delivery of The Herald tomorrow. Many people will attend baseball games and the opening of Wallow Grove Park, as spectators gather for the events.
