Charles H B Massey 22 son of Thomas Massey president of the Maryland State Farm Bureau was killed when his arm touched a 6600 volt line while descending a tower during a transmission line project from Queenstown to Kent Island. He fell into the Kent Narrows and was pronounced dead from electric shock. His father also serves as Massey Bank cashier and Kent Mutual Fire Insurance director.

Women Sought by Penny Officers in Harrisburg Scam
Harrisburg police sought two colored women driving a Maryland registered car with a Hagerstown sign. They allegedly fleeced a Harrisburg merchant of about $1,000. Authorities believed they were bound for Hagerstown and asked local officers to detain them. Details of the flimflamming were not disclosed.
