State Grocers End Session With Big Dinner
The Maryland State grocers wrapped up their annual convention at the State Armory with about 500 attendees. Senator Millard E. Tydings spoke on the Fair Trade Act. Governor Harry W. Nice, Mayor Howard W. Jackson, and Congressman David J. Lewis attended. Offcers were elected including Francis Keefer president. resolutions endorsed the Patman Chain Store Tax Bill and Fair Trade Act protections. speakers praised grocers for service and ethics.
