Four Injured As Car Skids On Wet Highway
Four persons were injured yesterday afternoon when the touring car of William H. Reams of Washington, carrying eight passengers, skidded on a wet highway east of New Market and overturned. The vehicle was badly damaged and eight occupants were trapped beneath the wreckage. Hospitalized in Frederick were Mrs. Frank C. Soper of Buchanan Virginia with a fractured pelvis and shock, Rev. Frank C. Soper of Buchanan W. Va with fractured ribs, Mrs. W. H. Reams of Washington with bruises and shock, and W. H. Reams with bruises. Four others escaped injury. The party was returning from Gettysburg when the accident occurred.

The Maryland Classis of the Reformed Church Potomac Synod convened in Brunswick to elect delegates and alternates for the General Synod to be held in Hickory North Carolina. It approved a pension fund for ministers over 61 with annuities to age 70 and reports 11 922 communicants 10 031 catechumens and 648 new members plus 11 776 Sunday school members and benevolent and church contributions totaling 92 207 and 182 714 respectively, with increases from last year.
