April Wedding At Burkitsville United In Saint Pauls Church
Miss Lois Elaine Hildebrand and Donald Rey Shank wed in a candlelit ceremony at St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church Burkitsville. The bride wore nylon chiffon with a five point crown veil. Numerous bridesmaids and a large reception followed. The couple plans a southern road trip and will reside at 50 West Main Street Middletown after returning.

DAR Conococheague Chapter Meets Monday in Smithsburg
Members of Conococheague Chapter NSDAR held a Monday meeting at Mrs. J Henry Ayers home in Smithsburg. Reports covered the 9th Continental Congress and Anta Society NSDAR, with attendees noting 4500 delegates and many alternates. Conservation films were shown by Stanley H. Keedysville PTA April meeting highlights films
Keedysville PTA met last Wednesday with Mrs. Derald Guyer presiding. The program showcased two films Wild Life in Morgan and The Operation of the Post Office. Attendance banners were awarded to Mrs. Raymond Bridges Mrs. Ruth Dutrow and Mrs. Mary Miller. Officers will be installed May 18 and field day is May 28. Social hour followed. Smithsburg PTA met Monday with President Kenneth Frey presiding. Rev Bernard Jennings gave the invocation. The Kindergarten and first grades presented a circus program with a ring master band monkeys Minnie and Mickey Mouses birthday party mice and a cat strong man clowns trained lions elephants and animals. Rev Jennings nominated officers: Ronald Price president Horace Fuller first vice president Mrs Paul Hurbants second vice president Harold Creager recording secretary Mrs Paul Y. Smith corresponding secretary Wilmer Dunn treasurer. Guest speaker Charles Coss member of House of Delegates spoke on educational bills. A brief Q A followed.
