Meeting For Study Of Birds Here Today
Miss Martha Hirkeland supervises rural schools as Washington County hosts a bird study meeting at the Library this afternoon with thirty three schools attending. Prizes from the Civic League reward top year scores while a bird house demo by Sei bert Knoed and a poetry reading by Mrs J F Ferguson enrich the program. Public invited for the 2 40 start and other features for the children. Dr Peregrina Wroth of Hagerstown was elected a councilor of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland at the Baltimore convention. Dr BH P Thomas of Frederick also named a councilor. About 800 doctors attended the closing session. Five Baltimoreans were elected officers for the organization. Wilbur Stottler of Washington was elected to attend the convention of the Boy Scouts of America.
