A late night garage fire damaged a line of rear block garages on East Antietam Street injuring two automobiles. Wm A Danzer and Preston H Runkle owned cars badly burned. several other vehicles were moved out. Damage estimated at 2500 dollars. Cottage Fire Fatal to Two in Maryland Camp
In Cumberland Maryland an early Saturday cottage fire on the Potomac River near Lilite destroyed a summer residence. Edgar McCormick died in the blaze while Aubrey Amtower died later in Allegany Hospital after severe burns. Two others were injured and six companions escaped unharmed.
