Boy Hurt When Struck by Auto at Intersection

Annapolis Maryland March 25 The Senate approved the Frick bill granting a two year tax exemption from state county and municipal taxes to the Washington Baltimore and Annapolis electric railroad with a single dissenting vote by Senator Donoven The measure now heads to the House of Delegates for consideration.

Road refund bill pushed in Maryland Senate
Annapolis March 25 A bill to require Washington county to pay 25600 to the Major and City Council of Hagerstown for street repair and maintenance moved to third reading after a favorable committee report. Other town payments proposed: Williamsport 2500 Hancock 1500 Boonsboro 800 and 500 each for Smithsburg Clearspring Funkstons Keedysville and Sharpsburg.

Rear Admiral Plunkett Dies at 68 in Naval Hospital
Washington reports the death of Rear Admiral Charles P. Plunkett aged 68 from heart disease in the Naval Hospital after about ten days. A World War I Distinguished Service Medal recipient for work with the American Naval Railway Battery, he served 48 years and was commandant of the Third Naval District in New York. He was born February 15, 1864, in Washington and began his career when 16, appointed to the Naval Academy by President Hayes. He is survived by two sons Chas. P. Plunkett and W. Clement Plunkett, a daughter Mrs. Whitney Warham, and widow Mrs. Nellie Plunkett.
