Luther Turner a 23 year old of Hagerstown Route 2 was charged with breaking and entering and larceny in the Texas Company safe robbery and with larceny of his brother s automobile. Edwin L LeCompte longtime Maryland game warden and head of the Game and Inland Fish Commission died at Maryland General Hospital age 93 after a yearlong illness and a prior heart attack. Born 1874 in Salem Dorchester county he was appointed 1916 by Governor Harrington and led the agency from a two man office to a major state department. He helped enact 1918 hunting and fishing licenses laws and retired as the oldest administrative head in the nation. He was married to Delie Sherman with no children and served as president of national game conservation bodies.

An auto driven by James Troupe of Clea r sSpring rolled over after a 131 foot skid on the Western Pike Saturday night. The car struck a bank and a telephone pole, caught fire and burned. Wolfville Woman Deaths Shot By Son In Wolfsville Cabin
