Joke Alarms Costly Fun Firemen Say
Resolutions condemning false fire alarms as practical jokes were passed by the Junior Fire Company at their monthly meeting chaired by President Mbmson. The Juniors will cooperate with Hagerstown fire departments to investigate the sources of false alarms and discipline the culprits. Each alarm costs the department 11 to 25 dollars in fuel wear and tear and time, prompting a push to curb the issue amid recent fake alarms. A membership application was accepted and thanks given to helpers at the Juniors banquet.
