Negro Sentenced In Burglary Case
John Campbell a 24 year old Hagerstown negro received a three to six year term in the Eastern penitentiary after pleading guilty in Franklin County Circuit Court to burglary and larceny. Judge Watson R Davison dated the sentence February 11 with credit for time served. Corporal Albert Davis testified Campbell had a state prison record, and he was arrested after entering the Glen Rebuck home near Waynecastle stealing clothing and foodstuffs, some of which was later recovered in a city house.

Child Injured In Auto Accident In Boonsboro
Five year old Mabel Hasenbuhler daughter of Herbert A Hasenbuhler of 600 North Locust Street was seriously injured when struck by a car near her home. She suffered facial and knee cuts left foot injuries and chest trauma. Doctors at Washington County Hospital said amputation of the left foot might be necessary. The child was playing in the street when the accident occurred. Driver Albert B Deatrich of Boonsboro Route 2 said he swerved to avoid the child.
