Men’s Class to Present Minstrel Show at Presbyterian Church

Mystery of the Masked Girl staged by Halfway PTA
The Halfway Parent-Teacher Association will stage The Mystery of the Masked Girl by Helen A. Monselt on March 16 and 17 in the Halfway school auditorium under Mrs. W. H. Morrow. The play unfolds in a college town rooming house after chemist Walter Eames is stabbed. The cast includes Mrs. Moss as the rooming-house landlady with Walter Eames played by Mrs. M.D. Moore and several other neighbors and lodgers.

Concert Will Be Presented by Hagerstown Association
A membership reception and concert program for the Hagerstown Community Concert Association is planned for Monday March 6 at 8 p.m. in the Hotel Alexander ballroom. Featured performers include Helen Braley Cavanaugh Roy A McMichael and Julia Belle Shenk with a diverse repertoire from classical arias to Chopin and modern songs as the 1933 34 drive begins. Albert Spalding will give a York Pa concert March 7 under York Community Concert Association aegis inviting local members to attend. Mrs Paul Criblet of the Maryland Federation of Music Clubs is expected at the reception.

Boy Scouts To Take Part In Inauguration
Over 100 Scouts left Hagerstown this morning to participate in the Washington inauguration ceremonies. They will cover a section of Pennsylvania Avenue from Sixth Street to Marshall Place, with logistics and duties organized by the Rotary Club and Boys Work Committee. Eagle Scouts from Hagerstown Boonsboro Williamsport will serve at the Presidential Stand as a special Court of Honor, with transportation and meals arranged by the Rotary Club.

Charm School Is Presented at High School Auditorium
A group of talented young actors and actresses presented The Charm School a four act comedy last night in the High School auditorium. Proceeds go to the Washington County Council of Boy Scouts.
