Scouts Plan for Trip to Washington
About 100 Boy Scouts from the Washington County Council will attend the inauguration of President-elect Roosevelt in Washington. They will travel in three school buses leaving at 6 a.m. and returning around midnight. Seven Eagle Scouts will go in private cars from the Rotary Club work committee chaired by Mayor Joseph W. Byron. 75 to 80 Scouts from Frederick County join Saturday morning. Scout Executive Henry R. Coates will oversee the arrangements and the group will pay 75 cents round trip with lunches provided. Four Eagle Scouts will serve as escorts.
