Commissioner Helvering will provide investigators with many who left the Internal Revenue Service. Senator La Follette warns this turnover undermines tax collection and asks for the list. Many employes stay until skilled, then resign for better pay.
In Oklahoma City on June 26 Deputy Sheriff Dan Kean ordered 25 bottles of corn liquor moved from the evidence room. A single bottle remained and a prisoner tasted it, grimaced, and found it to be warm water.

Clarke for first public hearing and a newly composed National Antietam Commemoration march by Peter Buys to be distributed to participating bands. The program also includes reflections, a religious fantasie, a viewing arrangement of the New World Symphony finale, Bugs Bunny's O Susanna, and selections from The New Moon with popular tunes interwoven.
