June 24 Willis R Jones former deputy attorney general announced as an independent Democratic candidate for the nominating for attorney general pledging neutrality in gubernatorial primaries. Baltimore June 23 A second suspect in the June 13 bombing of a negro owned tavern was sought by police who said they knew his identity.
