Merchants Institute hears talks on merchandising methods
Local druggists, auto dealers, grocers and others listened to G W Sulley of the Merchants Service Bureau on modern merchandising. He argued that 75 percent of merchandise is sold by 25 percent of retailers and stressed consistent advertising and planned yearly quotas to lift stores into the top tier. The event opened with druggists, with auto dealers banqueting at noon and a closing banquet at the YMCA at 6 30 tonight with Roy A Leiter as toastmaster.

Customs Men Seize Box Containing Wine Seaward
In Galveston on June 22 customs men examined a box labeled electrical apparatus bound for Ty Cobb care Philadelphia American League Ball Club. The package contained eleven bottles of white table wine, two broken, shipped by Wilson Lubricating Company of San Francisco by rail to Galveston for water transport to New York. Liquor was seized and an investigation begun. San Francisco reports find Wilson Lubricating Company not known there. Mrs F D Martin recovering after illness.
