A dated-rules style notice from Herald-Mail describing classified ad rates placement times and the alphabetical category index for ads. Includes automotive, employment, financial, business services and other sections with example entries such as 1933 Pontiacs and 1930 Chevrolet ads.
A dense vintage ad page lists numerous Ford and other brand autos with model years from the 1920s to 1950s. It promotes a Veterans Bonus Plan and a "Safety Conditioned" car program, inviting customers to place deposits and finance balances. The page also lists job ads, room rentals, and real estate offerings from local businesses in Smithsburg and Hagerstown areas.
The notice lists multiple rental offerings by the Hagerstown Mayor and Council area including bachelor suites on South Ave and Potomac Ave, 3 to 4 room apartments on Potomac and Washington streets, modern brick houses on Fairground and other streets, and real estate services by local agencies.
