Youth Dies After Coal Truck Fire At Benevola Bridge
Charles Bond, 22, of Knoxville Frederick County, died at the local hospital from burns suffered when the coal truck he operated ignited and overturned into a ditch near Benevola bridge. Investigators suggest the truck may have struck the bridge or caught fire on the descent. Bond lost consciousness, no witnesses. He was a driver for Hillside Coal Company of Frederick. Bond was the son of George Bond of Knoxville.
