Hancock is 60 percent done with a $270,060 sewer upgrade that will stop sewage from reaching the river. Mayor Daniel Fleming leads oversight as Ruth Engineering Co. of Baltimore handles the contract, and Contributing crews connect outlying areas while town water and sewer charges remain around $1.50 monthly for many residents.
