Thirty years ago the sixthteenth annual Lutheran reunion attracted several thousand to Pen Mar park. Four departments Kindergarten Primary Junior and Intermediate meet in local churches with sessions at Lutheran United Brethren Methodist Episcopal and Lutheran Churches. Director Miss M. Gertrude Tryon leads a faculty including Misses Burns Downs Wright Taylor Steffey Seymour Traver Gower Curfman Grimes and Mrs Norman McCardell among others.
There will be no service at the Chapel of the Church of the Nazarene at North and Locust Streets on Sunday due to a tent meeting at West Franklin Street and West Side Avenue. The event starts at 10 45 in the morning and 7 30 in the evening with speaking and music featured.
