Two Injured in High Mountain Car Crash
A touring car crashed through a guard rail on South Mountain injuring two young riders. Carl Powell and Elizabeth Clothier, both 22 from Washington, sustained scalp and body injuries. Other passengers were not seriously hurt. They were treated and discharged at Frederick hospital. The car left the highway and teetered near a steep embankment before a passing car took the injured to Frederick. The group was en route to Washington.

Lightning kills three at Lake mont Park ballgame
