Fireworks Ban Debate Opens 47th Maryland Firemen’s Session
Ocean City Md July 18 A resolution urging the State Firemen's Association to back a bill banning sale possession or firing of fireworks without a permit was introduced at the opening session of the 47th annual convention Delegates from 136 of 180 companies heard mayor Edmond Johnson and Comptroller Millard Tawes greetings The group anticipated a lively race for the presidency and praised the University of Maryland fire school which improved efficiency and reduced losses Some 632 firemen received diplomas at the recent school
