The Hagerstown municipal band under Prof. Peter Buys presented a well balanced program at the city park Sunday evening to the season's largest audience. Sousa’s The Diplomat opened, Orpheus in the Underworld was warmly received, and soloist Gaines impressed with Die Post im Walde. A requested Joy to the World and Herbert’s The Fortune Teller drew strong enthusiasm, with The Gypsy Love Song and Grand International Fantasie praised for grandeur. The next concert is scheduled for Thursday July 12 at 7 30 p m.
